Living in Love with God

Today’s Readings (Memorial of the First Holy Martyrs of Rome)

St. Paul asks a powerful question in today’s first reading: “What will separate us from the love of Christ?” His answer is both simple and profound: nothing and no one.

We all experience moments when our weaknesses and recurring sins discourage us. We may grow frustrated with ourselves, wondering if we will ever change. Over time, those struggles can tempt us to doubt not only our ability to follow Christ but even His love for us.

Yet Scripture proclaims a different truth. God loves us with a perfect, faithful, and unwavering love. He never stops reaching out to us with mercy, forgiveness, and the grace to begin again. He has given us everything we need to grow in holiness: His Word, the Sacraments, the support of the Church, and the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.

Today, take a moment to rest in this truth: nothing can separate you from the love of Christ. Let that confidence renew your hope and strengthen your desire to follow Him.
