Every year on the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Jesus asks each of us a deeply personal question: “Who do you say that I am?” It is a question that deserves more than a quick answer. Like St. Peter, we are called to profess with conviction: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
But our reflection cannot stop with the right words. We must also ask whether this truth is reflected in our hearts and in the way we live. Does my daily life reveal that Jesus truly is the Son of God? If He is, then He must be the center of my life, the One who shapes my priorities, decisions, and relationships. His words are not merely good advice—they are the path to life itself.
To know that the living God desires a personal relationship with us should fill us with awe and gratitude. May we respond each day with the faith of Peter, trusting Christ more deeply, following Him more faithfully, and allowing every part of our lives to proclaim: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
