Letting Christ Shine Through Us

Today’s Readings

The Feast of the Epiphany reminds us that the world is full of seekers. Like the Magi, people hunger for meaning, truth, joy, and peace — even when that longing shows up in confused or broken ways. The Magi’s long and dangerous journey teaches us that perseverance in the search for truth ultimately leads to Christ.

We can lose sight of the “star” at times through distraction, sin, or discouragement — yet God never abandons us. He patiently leads us back. That is why patience with ourselves and others is so essential.

Epiphany also calls us to carry the light of Christ. We are like stained-glass windows: the light is not our own. The more we stay close to Jesus through prayer, the sacraments, and conversion of heart, the more clearly His light shines through us — for our parish, our city, and our world.

May we walk by His light.
