As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family, we are reminded that renewal in the Church always begins in the heart. A new year invites us to look honestly at our relationship with Jesus: Where is the Lord calling me to grow? What needs conversion in my home, my habits, and my faith?
Saint Paul urges us to “put on” compassion, kindness, humility, patience, and—above all—love. These virtues are lived not in grand gestures, but in daily choices: forgiving one another, choosing kindness, praying together, welcoming instead of judging.
The Holy Family knew hardship and uncertainty, yet their lives were rooted in the presence of God. That same foundation is offered to us. When Christ truly dwells within us, our families, our parish, and our city are renewed.
May Jesus, Mary, and Joseph teach us to make room for God each day, so that His love may shine through us.
