In today’s Gospel, Jesus praises a poor widow who offers two small coins—everything she had to live on. Her gift was not measured by its amount, but by her sacrifice and love. True giving is not about convenience or leftovers; it is about offering our very selves to God. Our money represents our time, our effort, and our priorities. When we give to the Church and to those in need, we are making a spiritual offering of love, trust, and gratitude.
This Gospel also challenges us to look at how we give our time. Do we pray, attend Mass, go to confession, or spend time in adoration only when it fits our schedule? Or do we intentionally make God a priority? Love is not an afterthought—it requires sacrifice.
Today, take a look at your calendar and your budget. Do they reflect your love for God?
