In today’s first reading, St. Paul stands in awe before the mystery of God: “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!”
Paul marvels at the mercy of a God who never gives up on His people. Even when we turn away—when we hide, disobey, or try to live as though He were not there—God’s love remains constant. He continues to seek us, to call us back, and to offer forgiveness and healing when we return to Him.
Today’s liturgy invites us to pause before this mystery. God’s mercy is not just something to thank Him for—it is something to stand in awe of. Despite our weakness, sin, and forgetfulness, He has never abandoned us. May our response be gratitude, humility, and renewed trust in the Lord who never stops reaching for us.
