The readings for the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle C) remind us of the heart of our faith: Love God and love your neighbor. Loving God is more than following rules—it’s a relationship. Deuteronomy calls us to return to the Lord with our whole heart. God is already near, speaking within us. In a world that promotes fleeting happiness, true joy is found in loving God. At Our Lady of Fall River, we are called to grow as disciples through Word, Sacrament, and Service—drawing closer through prayer, the Eucharist, and Reconciliation. This love of God must bear fruit in love of neighbor. Jesus tells us that our neighbor is not just the one we like, but the one who is near. The Good Samaritan reminds us that worship without compassion falls short. Jesus invites us to return to Him wholeheartedly—and to encounter Him anew in prayer, the sacraments, and each other.
